RADIATION PROTECTION STANDARDS.

1.

A "radiation worker" is an individual who might be exposed

to more than 10 percent of the basic radiation protection standards

(See

Enclosure 3) as a result of his employment or duties in a controlled
area.

An "occasionally exposed individual" is one whose work is not

normally performed in a controlled area and whose duties do not normally
involve exposure to ionizing radiation; however, the individual may have
reason to enter a controlled area in the performance of duties.
