Service personnel (U S.) exposed on Rongerik in 1954
Have followed up to some extent on 28 service personnel exposed on
Rongerik in 1954.
Three of these are still on active duty.
Others
will have to be contacted through Veterans Administration.
These
personnel were hospitalized and checked for three-month period
following exposure.
All should be checked currently for thyroid
involvement.
Dr. Goldstein should be contacted in this regard.
Also, Dr. Conard
will call Col. Howell re his surveys on Marshallese natives.
