9. COORDINATINGINSTRUCTIONS

(1) preparedetailedplansto cover enisrgency
and routineevacuation
and re-entryof their personneland material. plans will be coordinatedwith
other task groups as required.
(2) Insure that”allpersonnelare indoctrinatedin evacuationresponsibilitiesand procedures.

(3) If the island is evacuated,issue necessaryinstructionsto
project and weather reportingelementcommandersor responsibleindividualsat
off-atolllocationscoveringproceduresto place equipent furnishedby the task
group in standbyor idle status.
(4) DesignateGroup LeadersjMuster Officers,an EvacuationOfficer,
and muster location~as required. Preparemuster lists of personnelresponsible
for presentingthemselvesto a designatedGroup Leader.
(5) ~faintaincapabilityfor emergencyevacuationof personneland
equipment.
(6) Consolidatetask group evacuationreportsand personnelaccountingproceduresin such a manner as to insure prompt transmissionof data
to JTF-7 EvacuationOfficer.

(7) Conductmusters of all personnelwhen desiredor directed.
(8) Prepare a passengerlist, in format requiredby evacuating
ship? when emergencyevacueesare to be debarkedat locationsother than E%.
(9) prepare lists of personnelapproachingmaximumpermissible
exposurelevel (MPE) or of extremelyvital materialwhich requireevacuation
by aircraft. These lists will be furnishedto TG 7.4 and JTF EvacuationOfficers.
Changeswill be immediatelyreported.
b. Equipmentto accompanyindividualsaboard ship in the event of
emergencyevacuatim will be limitedto the following: one raincoator poncho~
a blanketyand necessarypersonaltoilet articles. Individualsbeing evacuated
by aircraftwill ~iearlong sleevedshirt and full.lengthtrousers,if time
permits~and carry necessarypersonaltoilet articles.
Documentsclassifiedas TOP SECRETwill be evacuatedby TOP sECRS~
o
custodian:. Other classifieddocumentsand materialstill be securedin
normal locationswith reasonablemeasuresbeing taken to preservethem for
use upon re-entry.
d. Custodiansof Cryptographicdocumentsand materialswill issue
necessa~yinstructionsto provide for the securityand safeguardingof cryptographic items.
e. Where cargo space and time permit$materialwhich may require
evacuationtill be loaded aboardI.STSand other ships. Task groupswill
prepare lists of this type materialand furnishto JTF SEV~ EvacuationOfficer.
