6. CAPABILITIESOF EVACUATIONSHIPS AND AIRCRAFT.
a. The assignmentto Task Groups of space aboard aircraftor ships,
for routineevacuation~will be made in the EPG. This informationwill be
publishedas an appendixto this plan, for each shot or series of shots. When
emergencyevacuationis anticipated~the JTF-7 EvacuationOfficerwill advise
task group bulk space assignmentaboard aircraftand ships. This will.be
modifiedas locationsand availabilityof lift become firm. In extremecases
when advanceassignmentto specificships or aircraftis impractical,personnel
will board ships and aircraftas they are made availableby CTG 7.3 and CTG 7.4.
b. Evacuationstationsand capacitiesof aircraftand evacuation
capacitiesof ships assignedto JTF-SEVINare listed in Appendices1 and 2.
7. POPULATIONDATA.
a. In the event of full scale emergencyevacuation,it is estimated
that on 30 April 1958 the figuresin Appendix3 will representmaximumtotals
which will requireevacuationlift. These totals>as the opration progresses
will have a tendencyto decrease. The populationdata for Bikini Atoll representsthe total, plus personnelat Bikini to witnessthe shot, which require
routine evacuationfor each shot at Bikini Atoll.
