FOURTH CONGRESS OF MICRONESIA P.L. 4C-95 SECOND SPECIAL SESSION, 1972 (S.B. No. 261, S.D.1, H.D.1) AN ACT To appropriate the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) to cover the cost and contingent expenses of the Special Joint Committee on Rongelap and Utirik Atolls, and for other purposes. BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS OF MICRONESIA: Section 1. The sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated from the General Fund of the Congress of Micronesia to defray the cost and contingent expenses of the Special Joint Committee Concerning Rongelap and Utirik Atolls as created under Public Law No. 4C-33. The sum herein appropriated shall be expended at the request, direction, and approval of the Chairman of the said Committee to accomplish the purposes of Public Law 4C-33. The Special Committee is hereby authorized to hire such consultants and other staff 10 members as it feels are necessary. 11 this Section which are not expended or obligated for expenditure 12 before January 1, 1974, shall revert to the General Fund of the 13 Congress of Micronesia. 14 15 Section 2. All funds appropriated under This act shall take effect upon approval by the High Comuissioner, or upon its becoming law without such approval. 16 17 l Lot £A.
