This will. confirm our telephone notification on August 23, 1957, sat
at Meeting 1301 on August 22, Mr, Strauss requested that arrangements be made: f
.
a meeting of the Comission with the weapons laboratory directors during September
to review the shot schedule of Operation HARDTACK with a view to reducing
of devices to be tested.
2. He also requested that a| meeting be arranged with the MIC to discuss
the revised schedule and to obtain DOD views on reducing the number of weapons
effects tests originally requested by the DOD.

Please inform this office of your plans for these two neetings.
