It was a pléasant surprise to receive your telephone
call last Thursday.
I shail be in the Branch on January
28th and February 16th as you requested.
+n regard to Al's December 31, 1958 letter to you
regarding the annoucement abcut ESBL that was written
by Bob Hiatt I have nothing to add.
I am in full agree-
ment with his comments.
He has stated the original
operaticnal plan for the laboratory very clearly.
I
an pleased to see that he is of the opinion we should
ecntinue this plan.
in brief, his recommendations
are scunad and should
