SUMMARY OF 1965 SURVEY OF THE RONGELAP PEOPLE BY
DR, ROBERT CONARD, BROOKHAVEN NATIONAL LABORATORY,
The attached swemary, prepared by Dr. Conard, summarizes his
findings on the exposed persons of the Mershall Islands during
March 1965,
Notable is the detection of thyroid abnormalities in three
more persons.
These three cre scheduled to arrive at
Brookhaven National Laboratory June 18 for study and appropriate therupy.
A full report of the findings wiil appear later this year.
