ENCLOSURE I MEDICAL EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS FOR NON-MILITARY PERSONNEL ASSIGNED TO ENEWETAK (Quoted Directly From The OPLAN) "Bach non-military member alerted for assignment to the cleanup project must also be evaluated and verified by his employer as medically acceptable for assignment to Enewetak Atoll. This verification will consist of: (a) Review of the individual's medical history from whatever records that may be available and identification of any prior exposure to ionizing radiation. (b) Currency of periodic medical examinations associated with the individual's expected occupational area. (c) Documentation that this review has been completed. Individuals who are in need of extensive and/or prolonged medical or dental care, or are otherwise questionably fit for isolated duty are not acceptable. (d) Base line blood counts including white cell with differential and hemoglobin with documented results must be included and documented in the pre-medical screening process. (e) A documented record reflecting the results of all the above will accompany each non-military member arriving at Enewetak Atoll. The nature and content of this documentation will be at the discretion of the employing agency.
