to your office reference AO 106335, dated April 7, 1953 in which it is
steted that reimbursement is desired from the Department of Defensefor
work performed by LiSL for Project 4.1, Operation Upshot-Knothole. The
figure mentioned is $6,000 which has previously been agreed upon by the
representatives of LASL and the project agency, the Air Force Cambridge
‘
Research Center.
In order to execute the reimbursement mentioned, you ere hereby
authorized to expend up to 26,000 fron funds previously advanced by
this Headquarters for Operation Upshot-Knothole. This will obviete
the necessity of transacting this reimbursement by means of a separate
Standard Form 1060.
