In view of the development of high-yield weapons, it is desirable
to know the effect on damage of the positive duration so that the
present damage criteria can be extended for range of weapons approximately from 0.1 KT up to and including 10 MI. There is no experimental
data available beyond a yield of approximately 60 KT or below 1 KT.
The study undertaken at Ballistic Research Laboratories iadicated that
as the yield of weapon increases the pressure level for specific
damage decreases for drag sensitive targets.
