SURFASE = The surface chart was dominated by a high sres-
sere cell located at apsroximately 34 degrees north 171 degrees
east with a central pressure of apsroxizately 10% 135.

Flow over the lershell Islands area wes the ezst northeast trade
flow, with no marked regions of convergence or divergence.
