twenty one instruments ani twelve cameras.
Neither tactical bomber (B-46, B-57) was instrumented for
measuring back-scattered thermal radiation.

The twenty one basic

thermal instruments used various fielis of view and were suitably
filtered to obtain qualitative spectral distribution information.
The cameras were equipped with red and blue filters to obtain inormation at each end of the visible region of the spectrum,

Sev-

eral cameras were equipped with spectroscopic attachments to obtain continucus spectra in the visible region.

Two of these

spectrographs were operated at the Chieerete (William) photo tower.
