iedical Procedure in commection with release of personnel
formerly on duty with "Operation Crossroads" or with
Radiological Safety Prosram,
1, The Chief of the Bureau of Hedicine and Surgery has requested that
the followins directive be promulgated to senaration activities by
Separation Circular Letter, Accordingly it is published for information and compliance,
"1, (It is cirected that all personnel being separated from
the naval service who were on duty in connection with 'Operation Crossroads! or with the Radiological Safety Frorram of
the Navy, be ziven a complete blood count prior to separation,
"2,
It is further directed that any abnormalities (white
counts below 4,000 or above 11,000 are considered abnormal)
observed after repeated tests be revorted to the Bureau of
ifedicine and Surgery by dispatch and that personnel concerned be retained on board pending further instructions
from the Dureau of Medicine and Surgery."
