Dear Mr. Bonnet:
Enclosed is a bill from the Trust Territory in regard to MATS travel
for the three Marshallese patients and interpreter that came to Brookhaven
last summer. According to our understanding, this bill falls into the
category of those that are charged to your office.
I presume by now Mr. Rasmussen has had an opportunity to contact the
Trust Territory office in Saipan to make the necessary arrangements to cover
such bills as this.
I want to take this opportunity to thank you and your staff for the
assistance that you gave us on the past survey.
We are most grateful to you.
I was certainly happy about having Mr. Rasmussen meet with us on Kwajalein
in regard to fiscal arrangements. I am sure that this will make everything
easier for all concerned.
We are making plans to return five Marshallese patients and one
interpreter from the Marshall Islands, probably in May. I will contact you
later in more detail about these arrangements.
