The distribution of combined plutonium-239
and plutonium-240 activity (in mCi/km*)
associated with sediment components in the top 2.5 cm of
Enewetak Lagoon (measured in 1972). {solines were constructed to distinguish regions with similar concentrations.
Mean values are given within regions, and the numberof
measurements madeis in parentheses. The highest surface
concentrations are associated with sediment near (but not
necessarily adjacent to) the area of the larger or more
numerous tests.
