Dr. Fisk, and others, remarked on the very great importance of
the Sandia Laboratory.
The time has come when the demands on Sandia
should be determined by the mission of the Armed Services rather than
by the potentialities of new weapons. The Laboratory, and what it
represents, should grow more and more in importance relative to Los
Alamos.
The weapon philosophy arguments set forth yesterday by Dr,
Bradbury were illuminating, and should be very carefully considered
in planning Sandia's future efforts,
