REDWING Press Release - Mr. Strauss reported that the President's
decision would be received tomorrow.

Meeting with Mr. Stassen - Mr. Strauss read the NSC action on Mr.
tassen's report.
Mr. Murray said he might discuss his views on a test moratorium with Mr. Stassen or Mr. Dulles.
We will schedule a meeting between

the Commission and Mr. Stassen.

Visits to the U. S. by U.S.S.R. Scientists - The Commissioners took

the position that they would not object to such visits, but that they would not

request favorable consideration of them by the State Department. With reference
to U.S.S.R. attendance at the Rochester Conference, Mr. Strauss said he would
not reiterate this position unless the State Department asked for AEC comments
again.

Nuclear Powered Merchant Ship - Mr. Strauss reported on his discussion

with Messrs. Weeks, Wilson and Hughes.
