The magnitude of this project and the location of the work site,
almost 2,500 miles from Honolulu, the nearest support base with
Sienificant capahility, will make it necessary for DNA to obtain
support from the Services during its accomplishment.
In anticipation
of this need I respectfully request that the attached letter or a
similar one be sent by you to the Service Secretaries and the Chairman
of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
