A dental team was unable to accompany this trip but went to the islands by scheruled fiele trip ship. » patients recently treated by Brookhaven in the United States, were returne/4 to their home islands. , however, returned with the LOU to Ebeye when it was determined that the health aide at tirik woul? be unable to manage her care for the few weeks after our ceparture. The trip was fesigned to carry out general medical care to the islands in support of investigations of the long term effects of raciation on the populations. The following clinics were held at each islane + general medical, well baby, immunization, and farily planning. The immunization clinic was limited by the fact that the Trust Territory decline? a request to provide a supply of oral polio vaccine. A diabetic clinic could not be held because the Trust Territory failed to respond to a request for hypoglycemic agents. The physician anf the public health team were well received at each island. The people very much supported the broad nature of the work of the trip; namely, general health care for all people on the islanas.
