38 ND-1, "Expressing the displeasure of the Marshall Islands
Nitijele to the Government of the United States for the treat-
ment of the chiefs and their people regarding their atoll,
Rongerik Atol]'', contains a concern over the ''... radiation
in the soil, the forestry, the crops and the fish tn the surrounding sea or to determine whether Rongerik is safe enought
for them to return and live ...''

provided as a matter of interest to your agency. Also attached
is a blind copy of the Department of Defense response to the
Resolution.
