401786 Ruth Clusen 8) -3- July 23, 1979 They expressed concern over depleted uranium being present in the Kwajalein lagoon. The level there apparently is 3.5 ppm. They have been told that the standard is 125-155 ppm. Their concern is that this standard is based upon the radio- logical hazard and does not include the chemical toxicity hazard. We did not have ready access to a reference which would clarify this, but I expect they will make inquiries of Dr. Weyzen and of Ed Vallario on this matter this week. Bruce W.
