The timer dial calibration is correct only at 60-cycles. At 50-cycles the timer runs at 5/6 the speed of 60-cycle operation, hence actual timing is 6/5 or 1.2 times that shown on the dial, Proper recognition must be given this condi- tion when setting up technics and utilizing x-ray tube ratings.
