Dear Bill:

I received your report on the trip to the Marshall Islands
and was quite happy with the results of your visit. In regard to the

land rental I presume the arrangement for Rongelap will be forthcoming

before too long.

In regard to the generator I gathered that the Trust
Territory is purchasing one already for Utirik and that presumably

they will furnish fuel for that generator. Under these circumstances
I agree with you that our 25 KW generator could be used as a standby
for them and used by us during the survey. I would therefore presume
that the Trust Territory could take both of these generators and
install them at Utirik at the same time.
I am glad we can have a decent ship that can be scheduled

for the next survey.

The patients are here and we are proceeding with examinations.
I have no objection to your keeping the Marshallese an extra day in
Honolulu to show them around and think it is very kind of you and your
wife to be willing to do this.
I am sure they will appreciate it.
Sincerely,

BAR
