AS you know, there developed curing Gperation REDKING a great inter-
est in determining what operational measures could ke taken to in-
crease the local fallout in an effort to recuce thereby world-wide
contamination. Ths fallout program as plenned tefore WEf:ING did not
heave this as one of its major objectives, Unfortunately, this intere
est crystallized teo late te permit any revision of AFSi?'sS programs.
However, a6 a result of the briefing presented by AFS*¥P to the AEC
Commissioners on tetober 22, 1956, and subsequent discussion with meme
bers of your staff concerned with fallout, the possibility exists that
further inforrcation may be obtained from existing samples and data.
with this in mind, it is requested that APSWP undertake the follewing:

chesiical) with attention to the elements Sr-90, Mo-99, Ca-137>»
