The standard cloud samples are essentially point sources of filter paper in lusteroid tubes, placed in a clean OCC tray, and similarly covered and counted. The extended sources, or fallout samples, have been corrected to a point source equivalent by increasing the observed counting rate by 7 percent (Reference 66).
