AEC 478/4 - Establishment of Policy for Traveling Exhibits
Mr, Thompson commented on the recommended policy for
Atoms-for-Peace exhibits for use in the U.S. In response toa question
by Mr. Murray, Mr. Thompson briefly reviewed the .EC policy on
admission charges.
Mr. Strauss expressed concern about possible claims against
the AEC in case of accidents involving the exhibits and requested consideration of a requirement that the exhibitor have liability insurance
covering persons attending the exhibit.
After further discussicn, the Commission:
a. Approveda policy of supplying traveling public
information exhibits financed by AES funds to qualified
exhibitors free of transportation costs and rental char ges;
b.
Noted tat the cost of the projected traveling
exhibits prcograms oa Atoms for Peace and civilian appli-
cation (described in paragraph 6 cf Appendix ‘‘A** to
