Dear Mr. Seaborg:
Enclosed for your information is a copy of my letter of
today's date to the Director of the Bureau of the Budget
regarding Bikini. Also enclosed is a copy of our proposed
Bikini re-settlement program which incorporates as an integral part the estimates for cleaning up the island which were
prepared for us by your agency.

Before proceeding further, let me emphasize our appreciation
for the full, complete, and whole-hearted cooperation and
assistance of the many people on the Commission staff who have
been involved in the Bikini matter. They have been unstinting
in their efforts in every respect.
The implementation of the program will require our continued
cooperation, but I am certain that it will be possible to make
a substantial start on re-settlement during the year ahead.
Sincerely YORES /
