An LST can beach at one spot for reactivation of this station.
he NAURU WEATHER STATION
Due to a narrow entrance from the harbor to the dock, it is necessary
to utilize LOM craft carried in an LSD and discharged in the harbor.
There is an overhead crane on the dock that can easily handle any load
brought ashore by LCH.
There are, however, ample lightering facilities for offloading an LST.
The lightering facilities are the property of the British Phosphate
Co. and the offloading can be contracted from then.

UTIRIK WEATHER & RADSAPE STATIONS
It is necessary to use LCU craft carried by an LSD and discharged at
sea.
An LCU can then proceed to the shore location and discharge cargo.
TRUK WEATHER STATION
It is known that an LST can go alongside the dock.
It is believed
that an LST can beach adjacent to the causeway leading to the dock,
but this is subject to confirmation by Marine Department.

Normally an LST will have to anchor in the harbor and discharge all
cargo by means of lightering. However, there are certain periods of
extreme high tides when a LCVP or LCM could beach for discharge of cargo.
