A rccormendation was made concerning this matter to the Surgeon General, through CJTF SEVEN in October 1953. This action resultcd in personnel arriving in a octter dental enndition andthe assignment of an additional dental officcr to the conmnd. In addition, an augncnia- tion cf one dental officer was made by TG 7.4 in Deceabcr 1953 to assist during th: operational period, This augrentation assisted grcoatly in alleviating a back log of Class {II and IV patients, « Following BRaVO this installation admittcd © -‘U4owry personnel from the weather station at RONGERIK who had received radia tion dosages above the maximum permissable cxposure, As had been planned for such en cmergency, the hospital was expanded to accormo-late these patients, aminaticns of the Daily blood counts, urine analysis end clinical cx- poticnts were performed, Specimens of urine end stool were sent toa special project laboratory at KYAJALEIN for . analysis. After a short period of hospitalization these patients were evacuated to KWAJALEIN, No adverse cffrects from radiation were noted 1n this group during their stay at this instcllation, the flight surgeen on duty with this unit accomeclished co many flight physical exaainations during th. opcraticnal period of te €-
