Dear Leo:

The results of our assays of tritium and estimates of total tredy

water (TBW) in your subjecta are enclosed.

In addition to tabulating

the data, we have plotted your blood volumes and red cell
volumes against
TBW. The dashed and solid lines on the chart are regression
lines that
Francis Moore and I independently derived from our own normal
subjects,

About half of your subjects are clustered about ay "normal"
regression
The other half lie significantly below the lines because of relativel
ysmail red cell volumes,
Plasma volumes appear to lie within the range of
line.

my normal values,

Sincerely,

William Z. Siri
