Forexcretion studies, the animals were caged
individually, and their excreta collected at 24hour intervals. The feces and urine of chick-
ens were collected and ashed combined, but were
collected and ashed separately for the pigs.
Beginning 5 weeks post detonation, the excreta
of a representative group of chickens was col-
lected at weekly intervals for a period of 21%
months. Collection of pig excreta was begun
at 6 weeks post detonation, andthe collection
was made at weekly intervals for a 6-week pe-
