for investigetions were directed for action to the NT8O,

A woman in California had previcusly written e number of
letters to the AEC, Albuquerque Operutions Office, claiming thet she
euffered a skin condition which was csused by radioactive fallout fros
the weapons testing prograa.
The Coordinator established contact with
the Region IX Liaison Officer and subsequently visited the wousn and
her physicien.
The investigation showed thet tne woman previously hed
had cancer of the throat and receitvad both surgery and therapeutic
Xeray treataents.
The Coordinator did not consider raciogcttve fallout
to blames for her condition, and the OTO advised her that as a result
of this investigation they would not honor her claim for dsuages.
13.6. A resident of Las Veges was disturbed for fear that her ohild,
at one tine had a tentative diagnosis of heart trouble end wae presently
suffering fron asthna, wight be receivine danacin; amounts of rediation
fron test activities.
