Also, they are to advise me
their views as to any steps vhich
should be taken to improve
activity.

to suit his convenience. I think in view of the fact that the GAC is
going into this matter very carefully and also because the GAC is, as
you know, a Presideatial appointed Coumittee, thet Dr. Burney should meet
with the GA. I simerely hope it will not be necessary for him to tur
this appointment over to am ssaistant.
Also, you may personally wish to discuss these matters with the
Comsittee. While it is not within my province to suggest that you de so,
I wish to propose that ££ you feel such a meeting would be beneficial,
Please aivise me and arrangements will be made for a meting.
Furthermore, after the Comzittee has concluded their stuiles and
aftex they have reported to the Commission on Saturday morning, April 11,
it might be advisable for you ani me to meet with the Committee in
Executive Session.
As you know, I have stated that the Report of the General Advisory
Committee will be tranamitted to the Joint Committee on Atomic Energy
end also will be made public.
