5. Commander, Air Forces racific Fleet, arransed for, conducted,
and evalusted tests of buoys and identificetion systems proposed by the
laboratory. LCDR x. C. Barton, USNR Steff, COMAIRFAC, conducted the
tests.

Bureau of Ships, provided for instsllation of special

radio directicn finding equipment on Task Force ships. Ali arrenyements
were handled through Code 348 by LCDR J. S. Coates, USN,
‘fallout areas, W. J. Armstrong made significant contributions in this
regard.
