Box 29939 Honolulu, Hawaii 69820 Dear Harry: Bill Adams and I have discussed the Marshall Islands field trip requirements of both sick call and whole-body counting during July 1982. The radiological monitoring team is planning to leave Kwajalein on July 6 and proceed to Rongelap Atoll, then Kili Island and finally to Majuro Atoll. We intend to invite all Rongelap Atoll and former Bikini Atoll residents to participate in the program. We also plan to invite persons who have resided only at Kili Island or Majuro Atoll to participate as a baseline comparison population for our whole-body counting and bioassay programs. , I have indicated the radiological monitoring team members on the enclosed trip plan. Bill Adams has indicated to me that he will forward the sick call requirements. Again we call upon the excellent support of your- self, Reynold DeBrum and the people of U.S. Oceanography. If you have any questions about the enclosed tentative trip plan, please do not hesitate to contact me. Best regards. Sincerely, Eduronde VT fessor Edward T. Lessard ETL/1h Enclosure cc: 8B. Adams A.
