PURPOSE: To set forth the communication mission required for support of garrison operations at ENIWETOK ATOLL during the interim period following CASTLE. 2. MISSION: Establish signal communications and service facilities required by the Forward Area garrison during the interim period, 3, ‘TASKS FOR SUBORDINATE UNITS: a. Signal Detachment, 7126 AU: (1) Coordinate communication requirements for all ele- monts of the garrison and submit projects for additional facilitics requiring the requisition of fixed plant equipment to CJTF SEVEN for approval prior to implementation, SEVEN. (2) _Implement communication projects as directed by CJT (3) Maintain the ENIWETOK ISLAND telephone plant, to in- (4) Operate and maintain the following high frequency r| adic clude periodic testing and maintenance of associated cable plant, communications circuits: . (a) ENIWETOK-USARPAC Duplex radio teletype. (b) Ship-Shore (CW and voice). (5) Operate and maintain a communications center for TG (6) Service and repair all motion picture projectors in 7.2, to include cryptographic facilities for all elements of the garri~ son. Provide local teletype service to Holmes and Narver Administrative Office, PARRY ISLAND, and to AACS Detachment, ENIWETOK. use or in storage. (7) Maintain Armed Forces Radio Station WXLE and Special Service radio receivers. . _ (8) Maintain tactical radio sets utilized by 1 7.2 and provide maintenance assistance to other elements of the garrison as necessary. (9) Conduct scheduled surveillance and maintenance of equipment in dehumidified storage, (10) Maintain authorized stock level of replacement and repair parts for all items of signal equipment, (11) Conduct communications: security training for all personnel in the Forward Area, ty and procedural violations.
