This was accomplished by measuring at several sites the arrival times of the shock wave reflected from the ozone layer. Four sites were operated: UJjelang, Wotho, Rongerik, and Eniwetok. each site two stations were operated about one mile apart. At The differ ence in arrival times gives the angle of incidence of the shock and in- formation from several stations may be combined to give the winds.
