The biological
half-times of retained cesium 137 end iodine 131 in
the bodies of adult humans are roughly the same,
(three months).
For example, cesium 137 can be
evaluated by total body counting without the necessity
of removing samples.
The cesium 147 to potassium 40
ratio can be evaluated even in poorly preserved tissue.
Once again, it must be acknowledged that the above
methods are possibilities rather than proven methods of
procedure.
But, if practicable, any or all of these
methods could be of great value in establishing better
estimates of dose.
