NAVAL PARTICIPATION
The devices were tested by a joint military and civilian organization designated
as Joint Task Force Seven (JTF-7).
Although military in form, it was comprised of
military, Civil service, and contractor personnel.
JTF-7 was organized into five main
task groups with Task Group 7.3 being the naval contingent.
Most of the approxi-
mately 6000 personnel assigned to TG 7.3 were aboard the various task group ships;
however, approximately 650 were stationed on Enewetak and Kwajalein Atolls.
