3.2.3 USS APACHE Dose Calculations The crew activity time-lines depicting periods spent above and below deck on 1-2 March are shown in Figure 3-!. Also shown is the average topside intensity during this time period. For 1 March, periods during which the ship's washdown system was turned on are annotated as obtained from the APACHE's deck log. It is assumed that when the washdown system was on, all personnel were below. Other time periods above or below deck for eating, working, and sleeping are also annotated. On 2 March, a "typical" work day is resumed, i.e., 9% hours on deck and 14% hours below. 100 L_MARCH 1954 sew ewe Intensity S Les Deck 3 C2 Below Deck ~~ : > VA ! ~‘Washdow System On j / & 3 10 < 4 y 4 2 3A fe 7 a I [ 0400 arav 0800 o 100 i = é 1 0000 é i\ 2 5 1200 \ \ 7" San me oe oe a a 24 1600 2000 2400 Time of Day 2 MARCH gf 1954 r pa - 10 ~ TT TTY y Topside Intensity (m@R/hr) A ~ ~ oe ee ee oe ee ee oe om oe oe ee 2 3 z 1 rd 0000 ~ 0400 0800 a Lf 1200 1 al 1600 — == an Li 2000 2400 Time of Day Figure 3-l.
