I have hoard with keen interest som of the preliniuary
results of the survey of Eniwetek Atoll whieh was carried
out by Dr. Lauren R, Donaldson, School of Applied Fisherics,
University of Washington, Seattle, Washington. From the
nature of the teste that were carried cut in this area and
the preliminary reports of Dr. Donaldson, it is essential
that all personnel entering or residing in this area exercise
all possible precautions in regard to reciologioal safety.
Colonel Cooney has inforned se that he had left orders and
inetruetions on this point. However reemphasig might wil
be transaitted to the garrison.
For exemple, it is isportant
thet fish and shellfish from the lagoon aml vegetation grow
on the island should not be eaten.
Any quostions arising in relation to radiologioel safety may
be resclved by reforence to the Health Physios Section of the
Atonio Energy Comission Safety Regulations Bo. 3.
