Under the date of January 13, 1954, Fred 4. Seaton, Assistant Secre~
tary of Defense, notified me that the Department of Defense concurred
in the Joint Information Plan for Operation CASTLE with a suggestion
that Section C (ORGANIZATION), Paragraph 5, be modified to include a
DOD Information Representative on the staff of the Commander, JTF-7.
We accepted the SuggeStion.
The Division of Military Application has notified the Commander of
approval of the Joint Information Plan by both DOD and AEC, and that
the plan is effective immediately,
A copy of the revised release mentioned in paragraph a of 597/39 is
attached as issued by DOD and AEC,
