CONCLUSIONS
It has been observed from the investigations following the
weapons tests at the Pacific Proving Ground that a red alga,
Asparagopsis taxiformis, has a remarkable affinity for yi3t
isotope with a half life of 8.14 days.

alga may prove useful as an indicator of radioactive fallout from
nuclear detonations.
