The shelter had an opening on one side with a cantilevered overhead hoist beam for raising materials into the shelter by chain hoist. The opposite side contained a hinged, plywood, drop door actuated by an ex- plosive link and timing signal. the tower cross-section. The roof and walls contained several 2-foot openings, and a 4 foot-wide covered catwalk was provided on two sides. The structure was air-conditioned and dehumidified with two 1400-cfm units located on the roof.
