During the month of December 1954 three collections of
amples were made at Rongelap Atoll.
For the first trip on Decem-
mer 8, the U.S. Naval Station, Kwajalein, provided a PBM
fo. 2471) with a fine crew.
Landings were made at both Kabelle
hd Rongelap Islands. Dr. Walter D. Claus, AEC Division of BiolBy and Medicine, accompanied Edward Held, Paul Olson, Robert
Merylor and William Blakeman on this expedition.
Film strips were
paced &t a number of locations by Claus, Taylor and Blakeman to
- radiation over an interval of time.
On December 18, the Navy again furnished a PBM for the trip
