The Committee is planning an additional session on July 30 to hear from the Food and Drug Administration. _ DATA FROM THE 1967 RADIOLOGICAL SURVEY OF BIKINI ATOLL have been evaluated by an ad hoc committee of expert consultants and their conclusions and recommendations have been approved by the Commission. The committee concluded that the exposures to radiation that would result from the repatriation of the Bikini people to their native islands would not offer a significant threat to their health and safety. These natives had been relocated to other Pacific islands at the time of the Bikini nuclear tests in 1946, The committee also recommended a number of measures to be followed which would further reduce exposure to radiation. The Commission is forwarding these recommendations to the Secretary of the Interior for appropriate action.
