"ROLL=UP" OF RONGELAP AND —
WOTHO RAD~SAFE STATIONS.

You are hereby designated as senior member of all personnel of the H&N
Group to be engaged in "roll-up" of the Rad-Safe Stations at RUNGELAP
and WOTHO.
As such you will have authority to:
Perform all necessary work in connection with roll~up of
these stations, including removal of major items of squipment from the stations and back~loading of these items
aboard the LST~664 for shipment to Site~cLMER.
A check-
list of these items will be furnished for your guidance.
establish and administer rules and regulations pertaining
to personnel conduct while ashore which will insure continuing good relations with the authorities of the Trust
Territory and native personnel.
Your party will depart Eniwetok Atoll on 8 August 1958, aboard the
LST~664 and proceed directly to RONGELAP, arriving there on 10 August.
A List of personnel assigned to this mission is attached. Upon completion of roll-up and back-loading operations your party will depart
ROBGELAP on approximately 12 August 1958 for WOTHO, arriving there
approximtely 13 August. Upon completion of roil-up and back-loading
operations at that site, your party will depart wOTHU approximately
15 August 1958 for the return trip to Eniwetok.
