The vertical coordinate is a measure of
the exposure rates.
Elevated exposure rates appear as "peaks" while
the lesser values show up as relatively low flat areas.
Note the
lower values along the shores and the higher values within the
island's interior.
Note also in (a) the low flat area situated on
the ocean side near the center of the island.
