SPLEEN. Weight, $0 g. Size, 9.5 x 7 x3 cm. The tunic was tense,
grey-red, elastic and soft.
In section it showed no swelling; there was
abundant blood and the organ presented a watery appearance. The traboculse lienis were prominent. The lymphatic follicles were Zew and not
80 prominent, but recognizable.
In section, the parenchyma could easily
be distinguished.
LIVER.
Weight,
£50 g.
Size, 20x 14.5 x 7.3 em,
The weight was
considsrably reduced. The liver vas shranien and the tunic forned slight
folds, The surface was srey-broan to greon and rot prominently granular
bit slightly uneven. The shape did not differ greatly from norral, and
no formation of nodes was observed. Toward the left side of the right
lobe and at the front of the left lobe vera irregslar cicatrices, The
lover side of the liver shoved sone fibrirous striation from the rargin
torard the ceater. The organ was indurated and elastic.
In section it
was yellow grey-green and appeared to be moving tcward cirrhosis, The
eppearance of the lobules was erratic and the Glisson's capsule was wide
end irregular, with hrrorrhages arosnd the circumference; punctiform
henorrbacic foci were seen here and thrre; these scre assumed to br henorelopic gaacreae and were pretinent in the rishnt Icha,
It appeared as
the ch a transfer: ation from sulacite atrony to cirrhosis were in process.

COLL ELIPIMR.
The bile tested positive and was thick, dark brown,
Galiricceswerewot observed On palpation.
The call bladder contained
bile with dark brown mucus;; gallstones were not observed. The tiny
plicae of the mucous membrane were not clear, there was heavy capillary
conzestion in the mucous nembrane, and the area near the neck was prominently tinted with bile. The common bile duct contained a small quantity of thick bile. There was no calculus and the macous mexbrane was
tinted yellow.
Inside the biliary canaliculi, the major ¢ancreatic
duct opened at a Spot 35 mm above the papillary region, and the minor
pancreatic duct eat a spot 8 mm above the papillary region.
SUPRARENAL DCVIZS. Veight: left, 8.0 g; right, 7.5 g. Right and
left bodics were abo:t the sane shape. There were enall fat tunics
and a few spots of cortical lipsid substance.were visible through the
fibrous tunic. The capillary vessels of the Bibrous tunic were dilated
at points.
In section the thickness of the cortical substance was al-"
most normal; there wora few cortical lipoid spots. The pigment layer
was visible. The rcadullary substance was sonewhat thin. The blood
vessels of the xedullary substance were Clearly tense.
KIDNEY.
Weight: left, 220 g; right, 190 g.
Size: 12 x 7 x 5 cm (1éft)°
11.5 x 7.5 x 4 ca(right).
Above the right kidney, and at the rear, was
an extravacation. ‘ue shape of the right and left kidneys wes about the
sane. Tho surface was smooth, the kidneys were greatly swollen and
extrensaly soft. The tunic was slightly adhered in places, but generally
exfoliated casily. The surface was varicolored; brown-grey-green.
In
section the color was the sare; swelling and turbidity were extrene;
the ehape of the cortical substance was indistinct; and the boundary of
the medullary substauce vas also obscure. The cortical substance was
rather thick and rarhy brown. Green islands were observed here and thera.
